Goodbye Lina Feng...

Our friend Lina recently passed away
She just turned 27
It was sudden, with no warning
I didn't even get to say goodbye

We were only starting to be close
She was so easygoing, had common sense
And good humour, at least she found me funny
Definitely a friend to keep

The future held so much promise and hope
Playing games and planning trips
It had only just begun
And now memories are all that are left

I'm sad I can't hear her laughter anymore
One less normal person in the world
I'm bitter about the inequity, the unfairness
Why.

I'm thankful for the recent memories, trips and email chats
You will always be remembered, cherished and missed
I wish I told you so
